Taipei's night markets are something else!
Shilin Night Market is pure madness in the best way. So much food to try and everything is cheap. The stinky tofu smells wild but tastes amazing once you go for it. Streets are busy but never feel unsafe.
Great city for first-time visitors
Easy to get around on the MRT, people are super helpful even with a language barrier, and the food scene is unreal. Walked around Ximending for hours and never got bored. Really accessible city overall.
Taipei blew me away
Did not expect the city to be this easy to navigate. The metro is clean, on time, and covers basically everything. Tried scallion pancakes from a street stall near Da'an and wow - simple but so good. Definitely a food lover's city.
So much to see and do here
Taipei 101 is impressive up close, especially at night when the city lights up below it. The mix of temples, modern malls, and street food all within walking distance makes it really fun to explore. Never a dull moment.
Perfect long weekend destination
Spent a few days here and left wanting more. The hot springs in Beitou were a highlight - incredibly relaxing and not as crowded as expected. Food is affordable and genuinely delicious everywhere you go. Locals are kind and patient.
Loved every bit of this city
Dihua Street is worth a visit - old shophouses, dried goods, fabric shops all lined up. Felt like a totally different side of Taipei compared to the flashy malls. Beef noodle soup here is the real deal. Solid trip all around.
